Two significant decisions have been made about the leadership of our sport program. Mr Neil Buszard who has been Acting Director of Sport has agreed to continue in this role for the coming year. As Neil continues to both implement aspects of the recent Sport Review and offer expert leadership of our programs, aspects such as transport, coaching and team participation have benefitted from his guidance.....

One of the recommendations of the sports review in 2008 was to provide quality coaching across as many sports as possible. The number of Head Coaches continues to grow as we look to involve expert sportsmen and women to assist our students in their skills acquisition at all levels.....

The School has been informed by our uniform provider, Midford, that early in 2010 families will be able to access “on-line ordering” of School and Sport uniform. This will be of great assistance to our many very busy families as the Uniform Shop will retain records of students’ sizes and ordering of new garments will be easily done from home. Further details of on-line ordering will be available soon.

Items of the new Sport Uniform continue to arrive from the manufacturers and by early next year most of the range should be available from the shops at both Campuses.

On 23 October Microsoft released the latest version of their popular operating software, Windows 7.............

Each year IT Services holds a Notebook Information Evening to inform our parents about the School Notebook Program a notebook computer is a compulsory requirement for each student in Years 5 Year 12............

We had a fantastic morning last Friday when Light FM broadcast their breakfast show live from Buckley House.

The breakfast program was hosted by Mark Wilson from Dancing with the Stars and Luke Holt and proceedings began bright and early at 6.00am....

The Principal, Rod Fraser, and the Chair of Ivanhoe Parents and Friends, Jill Holloway, invite parents to attend a Thank You function on Wednesday 18 November from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at The Ridge Cafe. Entry is via Gate 15 on The Ridgeway (opposite Rose Street).

I am personally so grateful to the many Buckley House parents who give their time to assist us with a huge number of activities - without your help some of these activities just would not happen.

Whether you have helped with a casual clothes day, Fathers’ Day Breakfast, with a sausage sizzle or an excursion, or with other Friends of Buckley House activities, we hope that you will accept our invitation to join with other parents and staff to celebrate a job well done.

On Wednesday 28^th October Buckley House held a fundraiser for the World Wildlife Fund, an initiative of the Year 6 House Leaders at our school. It was a successful day with some very creative costumes being worn. We raised $585.00 dollars to help endangered animals and support habitat protection. Congratulations to all who participated and well done House Leaders for making the day such a success.

As you are all aware, we are lucky to be renovating the library within the next year.  In preparation for the move to Dodemaide Hall, we ask for your assistance in returning all books to the library by this Friday.  The library will be closed from Monday 16 November until further notice and classes will commence again if possible at the end of the year.  Thank you for assisting us in returning all books this week.

The Ladies’ Association will be holding its annual Christmas Luncheon on Friday November 27 at Kew Golf Club.
